Hi Christine: I'm glad to hear it's working for you. I haven't tried hypnosis yet because I can't afford it. And many insurance company's won't cover it.
However, the mind is a very powerful tool. I believe it can be re-trained; just look how our brain is sending false pain signals to our entire sympathetic nervous system with RSD.
I'm going to look into the Laser Therapy and see if my insurance covers that. I'll let you know if I have it done and how it worked for me.
How long or how many Laser treatments are they recommending you to have?

Insurance companies don't cover either treatment, sadly. Look how long it took them to accept acupuncture.
However, in speaking with few hypnotherapy companies, you should not have to pay more than 500 bucks for treatment. If you are charged more, you are being ripped off.
I can attest to that too. On my first appointment, my therapist and I spoke about the details, then she did a CD with the proper suggestions in place, and I listen to that every night at home. Now I will be doing some follow-ups, and I am allowed to take in a list of things that have come up for her to help me with pain wise.
As for Laser TX. The doctor recommends 12 tx's. However, by my 6th tx I told him I was done. He asked that I do 2 more just to set it in stone so to speak, so that's what I did.
Hope you get out of this everything I have. It's wonderful.
